Air Quality Bureau to host the Air & Waste Management Assn. (AWMA) meeting on Nov. 13

The Air Quality Bureau will host the November Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA) meeting at its offices on November 13, 2012. There will be two separate sessions for the meeting.
The first session will start at 1 pm and cover the implementation of the new National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for 1-hr SO2
, 1-hr NOx
, and PM2.5
The second session will begin approximately 15 minutes after the end of the first session. It will be an open discussion on the Construction Permit Section’s application forms. The Department is looking for ways to improve the turnaround time of construction permits. A review of the application forms and common errors will be presented by DNR staff. Attendees are encouraged to actively participate in the discussion. Please bring a copy of the instructions and forms along with ideas to improve them in order for the Department to receive complete applications for processing.
