The Great Race Against Shade and Shrubs (G.R.A.S.S.) is held on Friday to start the event, volunteers get “hands-on” with prairie restoration cutting cedars. Be sure to bring sunscreen, bug spray, and water as well as loppers and hand saws if you have them. Also, wear sturdy shoes and gloves.

Turin, Iowa  51059 From Turin, take highway 175 east to Oak Ave.  Go north on Oak Ave 1.7 miles to a large alfalfa hay field on the west side of the road.
