Water Summary Update
DES MOINES — The past two weeks were relatively dry across Iowa. Low stream flows and shallow groundwater levels reflect the spotty recent rains that have fallen in the state. The Drought Monitor shows an increase from 70 percent to 78 percent of Iowa in some form of dry conditions, with the most increase occurring in southeastern Iowa.
