Ongoing Construction Permit Amnesty for Engines & RICE NESHAP Assistance
Posted: 02/17/2014

Construction permit amnesty for engines

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Polk and Linn County air agencies would like to remind facilities of an ongoing construction permit amnesty for engines. This amnesty was initiated on October 23, 2013, and will expire on April 23, 2014.

For facilities that do not have the required permits for engines that have been installed or modified, or that have not submitted required permit-related notifications or registrations, the DNR and Polk and Linn County air agencies are providing an opportunity to comply with these requirements without enforcement actions and penalties. Details about the amnesty and engine permitting requirements can be found here.
