2013 Iowa High School and SCTP State Wide Spring League
Starting on April 1, 2013, all Iowa high schools are invited to participate in the state-wide Iowa High School and Scholastic Clay Target Program league. This league will allow local teams to get together and conduct a competition match. Results from each match will be recorded, sent into the DNR office, and posted to the DNR website creating a friendly, state-wide, electronic competition. Top teams and individuals from the state-wide league will be recognized and awards will be presented at each respective state event.
Sporting Clays: April 1 through May 18, 2013
Sporting clays league will run from April 1- May 18. The league will consist of 3 scores of 50 targets with at least one score being shot from a separate venue, either 5-stand or sporting clays. It will be possible to shoot 2- or more scores in one day, providing that one score is shot from a separate venue, ie. 2- rounds of sporting clays [with competition] and one round of 5-stand or vice versa. 3 persons per team, no limit on the number of teams. A total of 150 targets must be shot to complete the league. Persons or teams may shoot as many targets as they wish with the three highest scores being counted.
Trap: April 1 through May 18, 2013
The trap league will consist of 200 targets shot over 4 or more 50 target league events (best scores counted). Half of the scores shot must be at a different venue to count towards league awards and all-state teams.

2013 State Championships - Complete Shoot Program Available in April, 2013
Sporting Clays Championships - June 9, 2013, New Pioneer Gun Club, Waukee
This SCTP event will consist of 100 sporting clays targets. This event will be open to all eligible Scholastic Clay Target Programs and will have divisions for rookie (5th grade and below), intermediate (6th-8th grades), and senior (9th-12th grades). High school All State sporting clays teams will be assembled based on the event. More information is available in the complete shoot program.

Skeet Championships - June 15/16, 2013, New Pioneer Gun Club, Waukee
This SCTP event will consist of 100 skeet targets. This event will be open to all eligible Scholastic Clay Target Programs and will have divisions for rookie (5th grade and below), intermediate (6th-8th grades), and senior (9th-12th grades). Trap - May 31 through June 2, 2013, Iowa State Trapshooting Association Homegrounds, Cedar Falls
There will be two competition events conducted from May 31 through June 2nd.

This SCTP event will consist of 200 trap targets (rookie division will shoot 100 target event). The event will be open to all eligible SCTP programs and will have divisions for rookie (5th grade and below), intermediate (6th - 8th grades), and senior (9th - 12th grades). High School Trap Championships May 31, 2013
This 100 target event is open only to high school (grades 9-12) shooters who have also completed all 200 targets in the High School Trap League. High School All-State trap teams and individuals will be honored based on the cumulative total of the 200 trap league targets plus the 100 targets shot in this event. Completion of the 200 target Invitational League is a prerequisite to participate in this event. More information is available in the complete shoot program.
