Proposed Rule Changes

The DNR is seeking informal input on proposed state park rule changes.  Those changes include:

  1. Establishing a rental fee for the new large open shelter to be constructed at Lake Manawa State Park in 2017.
  2. Changing the 3-night minimum stay for the Fourth of July holiday for camping reservations.  The proposed 3-night stay would be required ONLY when the Fourth of July occurs on a Monday.  Campers would be required to stay Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
  3. Changing the  3-night minimum stay for the Fourth of July holiday for the Springbrook multi-family cabin.  The proposed 3-night stay would be required ONLY when the Fourth of July occurs on a Monday.  Renters would be required to stay Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
