Every year Iowan’s generously give their time and talents to the DNR creating memories and a legacy of giving back to our natural resources through volunteering.  Volunteering increases a sense of community and allows Iowans the chance to get outdoors and enjoy what this great state has to offer.  Iowa’s natural resources belong to everyone and everyone has an opportunity to positively impact our communities through volunteering. 

Without the gifts of volunteerism, our natural resources cannot reach their full potential. Whether your interests are testing water quality in your area of the state or taking time to plant seedlings at our state nursery, we can find a fit to get you started.
