Stack Testing

The stack testing group’s responsibility is to guarantee the quality of emissions data and to use the data to determine compliance with emission limits. The data quality is assured through field test audits and reviewing test reports. The field audits consist of making sure the tester follows the correct methodology, approving on-site variations, ensuring the tested emission source is operating in an acceptable manner, and answering questions posed by the testing group and the facility. The report review verifies the test results by checking the calculations and lab analysis. A test summary will be generated and the compliance status of the emission point is determined.
