Honey Creek Resort State Park is owned by the State of Iowa, with oversight provided by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Central Group Companies, Inc., was hired by the DNR to manage the resort, including the development of an annual budget and monthly financial statements. This information is submitted each month to the Natural Resource Commission and Honey Creek Resort Destination State Park Bond Authority, which established the bonding and funding for the resort park.
