For lake updates and fishing information in the north central area contact the Clear Lake Fish and Wildlife office at 641-357-3517.
Crappies, Bluegill and Large Mouth Bass are biting on Pine Creek (between the lakes, mostly on grub-type baits.
Bluegill - Good: Bluegills are staged in 4 to 5 ft of water and are close to spawning. A bobber and small jig with a piece of worm should work.
Largemouth Bass - Good: Largemouth are near shore and are close to spawning.
Crappie - Fair: Some crappies are being caught near structure.

Fishing Forecast

Upper Pine Lake contains decent sized bluegills, crappie and largemouth bass. Anglers can usually target these fish from the shoreline, especially in the spring and fall. Channel catfish also are an excellent species to target.(2012)
