Split Rock Lake experienced a complete fish kill in 2014 due to a combination of extended ice cover and aerator failure. It was stocked with 7,000 1-inch bluegill in the fall of 2014 and 700 2-inch channel catfish and 490 2-inch largemouth bass spring of 2015.
