Fishing Report
Fishing Forecast
Similar to Banner Lake south, Banner Lake north has abundant bluegill and fair largemouth bass populations. Bluegill maximum size is topping out at just over 6.5 inches. This lake's best offering is bass fishing from a boat. Plenty of shoreline with aquatic vegetation beds and woody debris offers perfect cover for bass. Fish seen during 2011 sampling were mostly in the 11 to 14 inch range, but several fish likely over 20 inches were observed, but escaped capture. Channel catfish from 11 to 20 inches are present in good numbers. Due to the wind sheltered area the lake is in, it stratifies very shallow during the summer. Anglers targeting fish here during the summer months should not fish deeper than 3 to 4 feet below the surface. (2011)
