Bluegill - Good: Bluegill are biting. Fish with a small piece of crawler and a bobber in 2 to 3 feet of water.
Largemouth Bass - Good: Largemouth bass are biting on a variety of baits.

The bluegill and largemouth bass fisheries are very good in Smith Lake. Anglers can catch bluegills over 9 inches and largemouth bass in the 18-21 inch range. The minimum length for largemouth bass is 18 inches in Smith Lake. Channel catfish and crappie are definitely worth targeting here as well.(2016)
