 2015 Scott County - A day of water quality monitoring

    Tuesday, May 12, 2015  8am - Noon. Davenport Public Works 1200 E. 46th Street Davenport, Iowa

    Meet at Davenport Public Works (1200 E. 46th St) on Tuesday, May 12th. Orientation will begin at 8am. Volunteers will learn how to sample water and sites will be assigned to teams. After sampling, return to Davenport Public Works for a FREE lunch.

    Buchanan County cleanup upstream of Independence

    When – Saturday July 11 (AM)

    9:00 a.m. – meet at Bathing Beach Park in Independence for introduction, logistics, and carpooling to put-in location

    9:30 a.m. – Begin cleanup

    11:30 a.m. – Estimated cleanup completion

    1:30 p.m. – Project AWARE programs begin (go to www.iowaprojectaware.com for more information)

    Distance – 5.5 miles on the Wapsipinicon River

    Limited number of canoes available

    Please indicate if you need a canoe or are bringing your own, and if you are willing to drive in a carpool to the put-in.
