Iowa's Tree Campus USA Program

The National Arbor Day Foundation's Tree Campus USA program is coordinated in Iowa by the DNR's Forestry Bureau with the goal of establishing and sustaining healthy campus forests for the benefit of current and future residents. The Tree Campus USA program recognizes colleges and universities that effectively manage thier campus trees, develop connectivity with the community, and engage their students in service learning opportunities. Requirements for becoming a Tree Campus USA are:
  1. Campus Tree Advisory Committee
  2. Campus Tree Care Plan
  3. Campus Tree Program with Dedicated Annual Expenditures
  4. Arbor Day Observance
  5. Service Learning Project
Tree Campus USA applications are now available online! To fill out an online application or for more information, please visit the Tree Campus USA website.
