Shakespeare® “Take Your Parent Fishing” Poster Contest
This winter Shakespeare®, the national fishing tackle company, in conjunction with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, hosted the “Take Your Parent Fishing” poster contest. The poster contest marks the beginning of a new Shakespeare® program created to develop new in-school fishing programs while encouraging family fishing experiences. The nationally winning poster will be used in the program’s promotions.

Many Iowa schools participated; Iowa had the highest number of schools registered nationwide!  Each participating Iowa school chose one winning poster to submit for judging. The DNR received nineteen posters for judging.   All of the entries were creative and truly exemplified the “Take Your Parent Fishing” theme.

Congratulations to all of the students who participated!
