Trees For Kids and Trees For teens are tree education and planting programs targeted to Iowa's elementary and secondary school students. The goal of these programs is to educate students about the value of trees and to encourage tree planting projects at schools and other public areas around the state of Iowa.
These unique programs are sponsored by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Forestry Bureau, the Iowa Nursery and Landscape Association, the Iowa Bankers Association, Mid Americann Energy, Aquila, Alliant Energy, Trees Forever, Iowa State University Forestry Extension, USDA Forest Service, the Iowa Tree Farm Program, the Iowa Woodland owners Association, the Iowa the Iowa Society of American Foresters, and the Iowa Conservation Education Council.
