Forest Legacy Program

To all Iowans interested in our state’s forests:
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources - Bureau of Forestry is working with the USDA Forest Service for Iowa’s private forest landowners. The Forest Legacy Program is a federal/state program created to protect private forestland at risk of conversion to non forest uses. The aim of this program is to ensure that future generation will enjoy the benefits of forestland.
