Black Bass Bluegill
Catfish Crappie
Sturgeon Muskellunge and Tiger Musky
Northern Pike Paddlefish

Walleye, Sauger, and Saugeye White Bass/Wiper
Yellow Perch



For all other species:

  • The season is open all year.
  • There is no daily bag limit.
  • There is no possession limit.
  • There is no minimum length limit.

Exception: The entire Mississippi River and connected backwaters along Iowa have a daily bag limit on panfish as follows: crappie- 25, rock bass- 25, bluegill and pumpkinseed combined- 25, white and yellow bass combined- 25, Yellow perch- 25

Possession limits are 50 for each of the above.
