Notropis nubilus

  • Characteristics - body color is dusky above with dull silvery sides and a silvery-white belly with dark lateral bands which start on the tip of the snout and end as a faint spot on the base of the tail, terminal mouth with prominent eyes appearing large in proportion to the head
  • Distribution - confined to a region of the state that lies north and east of the Cedar River drainage
  • Foods - plants and debris
  • Adult Length - 3 inches
