Upper Swiss Valley

Stocked by Manchester
County Park Upper Swiss Valley stream runs through beautiful countryside, complete with fishing access, hiking trails, and a wide variety of natural fauna and wildlife. Whether reeling in a big trout from the regularly stocked stream, or snapping pictures of the whitetail deer in the timber, the whole family is sure to enjoy this county-run park.

The stream offers many ideal fishing holes, so one can fish in the quiet solitude of the land without having to run into a lot of anglers. While here, don't forget to visit the Swiss Valley Nature Center, with many displays of local wildlife and a history of the park and its settlement by Swiss and German immigrants. More information can be obtained by calling (319) 556-6745 or 556-8041.
