Spring Branch

Easy Access Great for Flyfishing
Special Regulations Spring Branch Creek is one of six special regulation trout streams in Iowa. It has a 14 inch minimum length limit on all trout species and artificial lure only regulation in effect. Spring Branch is a favorite among fly-fishing anglers due to its consistent hatches of caddisflies, mayflies, and midges. Spinfishing anglers can also take advantage of Spring Branch's healthy population of quality sized rainbow, brown, and brook trout.
Public Land Spring Branch creek is located adjacent to the Manchester Trout Hatchery. The public is welcome to tour the grounds, view the hatchery, and feed the trout. Picnicking areas are also available.
