Stocked by Big Springs Public Land Available State Forest
Camping Easy Access Temperature Dependant

This stream is part of the Yellow River State Forest. It is a popular fisheries partially due to the beautiful setting. The stocking portion of this stream is over six miles long, providing plenty of elbow room.

The Yellow River State Forest occupies 7889 acres of beautiful northeastern Iowa countryside. With over 175 non-electric campsites, there is enough room for scheduling a trout fishing trip. Bridle and hiking trails, snowmobiling and cross country skiing trails make this a perfect place to visit any time of year. Hunting opportunities include squirrel, deer, grouse, turkey, woodcock, and waterfowl.
