Big Mill Creek

Stocked by Manchester
Public Land Available Big Mill Creek and the accompanying 737 acre wildlife area is a popular trout fishing spot in Jackson County. Recent bank stabilization projects have greatly improved water quality and fish habitat, and the regular stockings to the stream maintain a healthy, abundant fish population. The state property offers camping and hunting opportunities, with special emphasis on deer, rabbit, and squirrel.

While in the area, don't forget to visit the nearby Big Mill Homestead- a limestone house built in the 1860's, one of the first settlements in the Big Mill valley.
