Section 17-1:

In the spring and the fall the best fishing in the tailwaters of Lock and Dam 16 is for walleye and sauger. White bass fishing is also good during the spring of the year. The downtown Muscatine boat ramp provides the best boating access.

Section 17-2:

Good for catfish and largemouth bass fishing in the Blancard Island and Willow Island areas.

Best for: Channel Catfish Largemouth Bass Other: Carp

Section 17-3:

Good largemouth bass, bluegill and crappie fishing in the Big Timber area. Boating access is present at Big Timber and Flaming Prairie accesses. Flaming Prairie Park has camping, restrooms and drinking water available.

Best for: Largemouth Bass Crappie Bluegill
Other: Channel Catfish Carp
