Chemical Storage Sign

Information for Reporting Year 2007

The Iowa DNR will continue to except hard copies, CDs, and 3.5" Floppy disks of the TRI Form A and Form R reports. In December of 2007 the Emergency Response & Homeland Security Unit relocated to the Wallace State Office Building. TRI Form A and Form R reports should now be sent to:

Iowa Department of Natural Resources
Emergency Response & Homeland Security Unit
502 E. 9th Street
Des Moines, IA 50319-0034

Iowa accepts reports submitted using US EPA reporting forms.

During the 2008 Reporting Year the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will begin incorporating Toxic Chemical Release Inventory (TRI) data into its Facility Mapping Tool. As part of this effort the DNR is working to establish the data flows necessary for receiving information from the US EPA. Information concerning how the migration will effect facilities reporting TRI Form A and Form R to the state of Iowa in 2009 will be posted to this site as it becomes available. The new reporting process should provide greater flexibility, efficiency, and accuracy.

If you have any questions during the development of this tool please feel free to contact Elonda Bacon at 515/725-0302 or e-mail her at iowa.epcra@dnr.iowa.gov.
