Those involved with or concerned about air quality issues are invited to participate in a stakeholder group tasked with developing funding recommendations for the DNR’s air quality program.
“I plan to form a diverse stakeholder group that will represent a broad selection of those who use air quality bureaus services,” said Chuck Gipp, DNR director. Input is sought from small and large businesses, associations, local governments, other organizations and the public.
Group members will participate in three to five meetings, starting July 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and ending in October. They will study funding options for air quality, make recommendations and submit a report of their findings to the General Assembly by Dec. 1.
Those interested should send a letter of interest by June 20 to the DNR Director, attention: Jim McGraw, Iowa DNR, 7900 Hickman Road, Suite 1, Windsor Heights, Iowa 50324, or by email to Jim.McGraw@dnr.iowa.gov. The letter should include your name, address, phone numbers, email address, and any company, association or organization you are representing. Those representing a group should also select an alternate and provide information for that person.
Call Jim McGraw at 515-725-9543 with any questions. Participants will be announced and notified by early July.
