Small Wastewater Discharge to Catfish Creek in Dubuque
Posted: 04/18/2013
Erosion caused a wastewater pipe to break about 2:30 p.m. today on the south side of Dubuque.

By 4:15 p.m, the city had rerouted the wastewater and stopped the discharge.  Officials estimate less than 200 gallons of wastewater flowed to Catfish Creek below 455 Moore Heights.

The city will take water samples for testing.

The DNR recommends keeping children and pets out of the creek for the next 24 hours.
