The Small Business Assistance Program is mandated in Section 507 of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. The Iowa Air Emissions Assistance Program (IAEAP) is a program through the University of Northern Iowa’s Iowa Waste Reduction Center. IAEAP provides technical assistance to small businesses dealing with air emission regulations and permitting requirements enforced by the Clean Air Act. The Small Business Environmental Assistance Liaison (Liaison) is housed at the Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED). The Liaison serves as an ombudsman between small businesses and the DNR. The Liaison has many resources to help business understand regulations, to answer environmental questions, and to come into compliance with state regulations. |
