Air: The Search for One Clean Breath is available for checkout from the DNR Air Quality Bureau
Air: The Search for One Clean Breath is both a historical and forward-looking tour of the story of air. The film chronicles scientists’ first forays into understanding its composition, the connection of air pollution to respiratory illnesses, and today’s clean air technologies. Not only a journey through time, the film takes viewers around the globe to Shanghai’s air pollution crisis to Iceland’s use of hydrogen as its energy source, to the South Pole for ice core sampling from a million years ago, to the eco-village of BedZED in the United Kingdom, to California’s most congested highway. It’s a compact look at air through state-of-the-art animation, live action, and interviews with the people who are trying to bring back “cleaner air for healthier lives for everyone no matter where they live.”
This 41-minute high definition DVD produced by the Ventura County (California) Air Pollution Control District is available from any of the six DNR Field Offices or the Air Quality Bureau on Hickman Rd in Urbandale.
