SPARS Web Title V Emission Inventory Training Sessions Available

The Air Quality Bureau will be hosting several Training Sessions for clients wishing to use the SPARS Web access for submitting their year 2006 Major Source Annual Emissions Inventory.

• This year’s class will be on the use of the SPARS Web application, allowing users to complete and submit their Emission Inventory online.
• Classes will cover all aspects of submitting a Title V Emission Inventory including: Site Management, Emission Unit and Point Management, Control and Monitoring Equipment Management, Data Entry.
• Training includes reusing previous Inventories as a template for the 2006 Inventory.
• Additional topics may be covered depending on questions raised during each class.
• Title V program staff will be on hand to answer program specific questions.
• Classes will be held starting the afternoon of January 29, with the last session the morning of February 2, 2007. Morning classes will start at 8:30 a.m. and end no later than noon. Afternoon classes will start at 1:00 p.m. and end no later than 4:30 p.m. Room size limits class size to 15 participants per class. Companies may be limited to one attendee per session, depending on number of people signed up for training.
• Training will be held at the Air Quality Bureau offices, located at 7900 Hickman Road, Suite 1, Urbandale, Iowa 50322. The DNR will provide computers for the training.
