Wood Product NESHAP Notices Due

Initial notifications for Wood Building Products NESHAP are due September 25, 2003.

Facilities subject to 40 CFR 63 Subpart QQQQ - National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Surface Coating of Wood Building Products -- must send an initial notification to the DNR and EPA Region 7 on or before September 25, 2003. The standard was finalized in May.

Types of affected sources are those that apply surface coatings to wood doors, windows, paneling, siding, and flooring.

For implementation tools, including an applicability flowchart and compliance time line, please visit EPA's Air Toxics Website at www.epa.gov/ttn/atw/wbldg/wbldgplan.html. This site has an initial notification form that can be used to ensure all necessary information is provided.
