DNR Offers Free Emission Inventory Assistance

DES MOINES--The DNR and University of Northern Iowa are offering free help sessions to assist central Iowa businesses in inventorying air emissions. Businesses that received the inventory questionnaires from the DNR in January are eligible to attend. Seating is limited.

"The help day is free, and designed to assist businesses in preparing and documenting the types and quantities of emissions that enter the air," said Brian Hutchins, who heads up the DNR study.

The DNR help day is March 20 in Urbandale. Contact Susan Mumm to register at 515-281-8500. The University of Northern Iowa Waste Reduction Center has sessions open for businesses with fewer than 100 employees in Osceola on March 27, Webster City on April 10, and Mason City on April 24. To register, contact the center at 1-800-422-3109.
