Follow Park Madness on Facebook

Take time this March to fill out another kind of bracket and support your local state park. Join the DNR’s Park Madness on Facebook, and be in the running to win a free weekend of camping!

Beginning March 17, state parks from each region of the state will face off to determine which park will reign as Park Madness Champion. To vote for a park, follow the instructions on each night’s Facebook post at www.facebook.com/iowadnr (see dates below). Be sure to “like” the DNR’s page while you’re there to see future Park Madness posts.

The tournament schedule is as follows:

  • March 17: Vote for your favorite park in each region of the state!

  • March 24: The winners from each region face off in a semi-final - vote for your two favorites!

  • April 4: The top vote-getting park from eastern Iowa faces off against the top western Iowa park in our Park Madness Final. Be sure to watch the Facebook post to see the winning park – and our contest winner – announced!

Starting April 4, vote in the championship round by commenting on the Facebook post. One lucky commenter on that post will be chosen at random to win two free nights of camping at the “champion” park! Head to www.facebook.com/iowadnr and vote now!
