Benefits of Serving as an AmeriCorps Member with the DNR:
Members serving a full time, half time, or quarter time position will receive a modest living allowance. Each member who successfully completes a term of service will receive an AmeriCorps Education Award.
You can use your education award to pay educational expenses at qualified institutions of higher education, for educational training, or to repay qualified student loans. You have up to seven years after your term of service has ended to utilize the education award.
Individuals age 55 or older when they begin their term of service can transfer their education award to a child, grandchild, or foster child.
