EO80 Stakeholder Group: Permits for Diversion, Storage and Withdrawal of Water from the Cambrian-Ordovician Aquifer
The Director of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, in consultation with the Governor's Office, is soliciting interested parties to form a Stakeholder Group to consider the need for rule changes in the Iowa Administrative Code Chapters 50, 52, and 53. The purpose of the stakeholder group is to consider alternatives and make recommendations to better manage the Cambrian-Ordovician Aquifer in Iowa.
EO80 Stakeholder Group: Water Use Permitting Process Review (COMPLETED April 2013)
The Director of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, in consultation with the Governor’s office, has selected a stakeholder group to review the water use permitting process, pursuant to Executive Order 80. The purpose of the stakeholder group is to streamline the application and review process for the diversion, storage and withdrawal of water, specifically addressing issues that lead to faster and more efficient permit-processing times.
