The Northeast Regional Office is located at the Manchester Trout Hatchery approximately 4 miles southeast of Manchester on 205th Avenue.  From State Highway 20, take the County Road D5X exit and drive north approximately 1 mile to the "T" intersection.  Turn right (east) onto County Road D-22.  Drive 2 miles and turn right (south) onto 205 Ave.  The road will dead end at the hatchery in approximately 2 miles. 

The office is home to the Manchester fisheries management team, who are responsible for fisheries management activities in the following counties:  Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Delaware, Dubuque and Jackson.  Management activities at the Manchester district office include: 

• Managing the coldwater trout streams in the southern half of the region
• surveying and assessing fish and turtle populations in lakes and rivers
• installing fish habitat and other structures
• performing fish kill investigations
• Enhancing urban fishing opportunities
• conducting fish clinics and outdoor classrooms
