The Northeast Regional Office is located at the Manchester Trout Hatchery approximately 4 miles southeast of Manchester on 205th Avenue. From State Highway 20, take the County Road D5X exit and drive north approximately 1 mile to the "T" intersection. Turn right (east) onto County Road D-22. Drive 2 miles and turn right (south) onto 205 Ave. The road will dead end at the hatchery in approximately 2 miles.
The office is home to the Manchester fisheries management team, who are responsible for fisheries management activities in the following counties: Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Delaware, Dubuque and Jackson. Management activities at the Manchester district office include:

Managing the coldwater trout streams in the southern half of the region

surveying and assessing fish and turtle populations in lakes and rivers

installing fish habitat and other structures

performing fish kill investigations

Enhancing urban fishing opportunities

conducting fish clinics and outdoor classrooms
