The Lake Darling Fisheries Station (this is also the location of the Southeast Regional Office) is located in Lake Darling State Park west of Brighton. This fisheries management biologist and technician team manages public waters in Clinton, Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine, and Scott Counties. Noted waters in this area are Lake Darling, Belva Deer Lake, Lake Geode, Big Hollow Lake, Lake Odessa, Shimek Forest ponds Lost Grove Lake, and the Cedar, Iowa, and Skunk Rivers. Activities are the same as Macbride and Rathbun. The regional supervisor at this office, Steve Waters, is responsible for Fisheries Bureau activities that occur in the Southeast Fish Management Region. This involves the 38 counties and the Mississippi River in which the Darling, Rathbun, Macbride, and Fairport Fish Management stations operate.
