Updates for Nonresidents


  • The Nonresident Deer application period for 2018 is May 5-June 3. Nonresident hunters can purchase one preference point in lieu of submitting an application during this time frame as well.
  • The application fee to hunt deer in 2018 is $551.00 plus application fees.  The amount will vary if you already have a hunting license or if you are a youth (under 18) hunter. 
  • A preference point is $50.00 plus application fees. You can only purchase one preference point each year. If you apply for tags in 2018, you will not be able to purchase a preference point in addition to your application.  
  • To apply or purchase a preference point during the application period, log into the online application system.
  • The drawing will take place in July. Results will be posted no later than July 28.
