Iowa's Chronic Wasting Disease Response Plan
This document identifies, coordinates and assigns all Iowa DNR and Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship activities necessary to respond to an outbreak of Chronic Wasting Disease in Iowa.

Trends in Iowa Wildlife Populations and Harvest 2011
Frends in Iowa Wildlife Populationsa nd Harvest (Logbook) is compiled annually by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Bureau. Publication for the preceding calendar year usually occurs in September.
Information includes White-tailed Deer, Wild Turkeys, Furbearers, Waterfowl, Upland Wildlife, Peregrine Falcon, Osprey, Sandhill Crane, Bald Eagle, River Otter, Bobcat, Mountain Lion, Black Bear, Gray Wolf, Trumpeter Swan, Greater Prairie Chicken, Bowhunter Observation Survey and the Ruffed Grouse.

A Review of Iowa's Deer Management Program, 2009


The issues relating to the state's deer population are discussed as well as recommendations to better manage Iowa's deer resource in balance with Iowans' needs.

Summer Turkey Brood Survey, 2010

This survey monitors turkey reproduction in Iowa. Results are given in number of turkeys observed per
1,000 hunted. The 2010 survey suggests that wild turkey reproduction improved relative to 2009, despite the heavy June rainfall (150% - 400% above normal) that coincided with Iowa's peak hatching period.
