** All workshops will be held at Simpson College Campus.

DNR’s Financial and Business Assistance Section is offering a series of three workshops in late January and February 2015. These workshops are a follow up to the introductory workshop that was a great success in spring 2014. Designed and led by Amperage (formerly ME&V), these new workshops will explore in depth all the topics attendees learned in the first workshop along with exciting new topics. The workshops will provide agencies the tools they need to energize their marketing, advertising and public relations programs.

January 23, 2014 Solid Waste Agencies Marketing Workshop

  • This workshop will be focused on SW Marketing and include the following topics:
  • How to develop the steps/processes for creating a SWA comprehensive marketing plan;
  • Branding your SWA, or working with your current brand, to increase public awareness;
  • Identify your audience and ensure your message is reaching your audience:
  • Ensuring your message is being delivered in the most cost effective manner;  
  • Measuring the effectiveness of your public awareness message

Attendees are expected to leave with a personalized plan/outline for immediate and multi-year marketing needs.
Conducted by DNR and the Advertising, Consulting Firm of MEandV from Cedar Falls, Iowa.
