Forests and prairies are part of Iowa’s native landscape. Additionally, minimizing land pollution helps protect the health of Iowa citizens, wildlife populations and water quality.

The DNR helps  protect and manage Iowa’s land resources through numerous technical assistance programs, including: waste management programs for business and industry; education for animal feeding operations; habitat and forestry assistance for landowners, and much more.
