[Apr 1] Position: Accounting Technician 2 - Budget & Finance Bureau

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Budget & Finance Bureau, is seeking a customer service focused, team oriented individual, who is interested in demonstrating those skills to help further the Department’s mission. The Department’s field staff work to conserve and enhance our natural resources and in doing so, incur travel expenses and have a need to procure goods and/or services using state issued procurement cards (PCards). We are looking for an individual who will play a pivotal customer service role to ensure the timely and accurate processing of in-state and out-of-state employee travel reimbursements and direct billed travel expenses, in accordance with Department of Administrative Services, State Accounting Enterprise (DAS/SAE) travel policies. This Accounts Payable Specialist position, an Accounting Technician 2, will also receive and audit all incoming PCard and Travel PCard statements and accompanying documentation to ensure both procurement and travel policy compliance. In addition, this position will also play an important coordination role between the Director's Office staff, field staff and DAS/SAE on all requests for Exception to Statewide Policy.
