State Park Recreation Use Plans

In advance of the 100th anniversary of Iowa's state park system in 2020, the Iowa DNR is developing plans for future recreation opportunities that are compatible with the resources in each state park.  As the plans are developed, they will be posted to this web page.  You will be able to review the plan and answer a 5-minute online questionnaire.  Within a few weeks following the questionnaire, every park will also be hosting a park open house for additional opportunities for you to provide comments.  The dates of the park forums will be posted on this web page.

The Iowa DNR recognizes Iowans place a high value on their parks and outdoor recreation activities.  Regardless of what draws you to state parks, they are an important component of communities, life, and the environment.  This is a wonderful time for parks as Iowa's state park system approaches its centennial; the future of recreation growth in each state park holds many exciting opportunities.
