Wastewater Discharge in City of Coralville

CORALVILLE - A temporary pump failed Friday morning causing a wastewater discharge into Muddy Creek in Coralville.

The failure occurred near Brown Deer Road about 7 a.m. releasing about 1,250 gallons per hour into the creek.

The city was working to repair the pump and some temporary piping.

The DNR will continue to monitor the situation and required the city to take water samples.
