This is a reminder that the Department has proposed a rulemaking that will amend state air quality rules to implement recent federal amendments that will defer for three years counting carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from biogenic sources towards Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) and Title V applicability. The Department will accept written comments until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Additionally, the Department will hold a public hearing for the proposed rulemaking at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at the Department’s Air Quality Bureau offices at 7900 Hickman Road in Windsor Heights, Iowa.
