DES MOINES - One of the two fledgling peregrine falcons at the State Capitol in Des Moines was rescued by Saving Our Avian Resources.  What necessitated the rescue is currently not known.  The bird is under observation and will hopefully rejoin its nest mate soon.

At the nearby American Enterprise Building, three fledglings have been testing their flight skills and providing amazing aerial prowess over the downtown Des Moines area.

There are 14 other nest sites, or eyries, around the state with as many as 22 additional fledglings that will be testing flight skills soon.
