Coralville Discharges Wastewater to Muddy Creek

CORALVILLE - A plugged pump caused the city of Coralville to discharge wastewater to Muddy Creek on Thursday.

The discharge from a pumping station located next to Brown Deer Golf Club on Oakdale Boulevard began around 10 a.m. and ended around 1:00 p.m. People and pets should avoid the area for 48 hours.

The city, which has cleaned up debris from the incident, estimates about 5,000 gallons of wastewater were discharged.
