Request for Input on Draft Rulemaking and Job Impact Statement

The Department has some information on the potential additional burden of the revised PSD regulations on regulated facilities and has addressed this in the draft Fiscal Impact Statement (FIS). The Department has also included in the draft FIS an assessment of fiscal impacts to the state and local governments based on information from EPA and the Department’s preliminary analysis.

Along with public input on the draft JIS, the Department will accept any written suggestions or comments on the draft FIS and on the draft proposed rulemaking (brief for Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) and Notice of Intended Action) until 4:30 PM on Friday, June 17, 2011.*

These draft documents are available on the Public Input page of the Department’s Air Quality Bureau website. *This is an informal public comment period prior to the Department presenting the proposed rulemaking for decision to the Environmental Protection Commission (EPC). If approved for publication, the Notice of Intended Action will have an additional, formal public comment period of at least 30 days.
