Boil Advisory Lifted in Stanhope, Hamilton County
STANHOPE – The city of Stanhope lifted a boil advisory Saturday after two sets of water samples tested safe for bacteria.
The city and DNR had issued the advisory Thursday as a precaution following a loss of pressure during a water main repair. Loss of pressure has the potential to allow bacteria to enter the system.
General guidelines on reducing the risk of infection are available from the EPA Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800- 426-4791.
